States Above 50 MHz 2020 - 2021 Results
Hi everyone,
Let me try this one more time ? We had two people that have come forth with questions regarding their entry and why it was not recognized on my report. First was Jim, KO9A. Jim’s email to me, as in the previous year, was not received by my email account. An emailed copy, was received by another committee member, and acknowledged as received within the time limits, on the “Google Document”. The Google Doc was designed for this reason. The second was from Charlie, N0AKC. Although Charlie submitted a strong finishing result, he emailed it to a non-existent email address. Charlie’s score was not received, nor acknowledged as being received on the Google Doc. His score was not allowed by committee members.
In the 2020-2021 CSVHFS “States Above” event, Gary KE8FD (EN80) turned in 138 band-states to capture the top spot for the year for Single Op. Gary’s new grid location didn’t hinder a return to his reign from last year. Outstanding effort by Gary and his 5 band report. In light of the changes the update has brought, we have a new second place winner. Jim (KO9A) is our new second place winner. Jim had a total of 101 band states, nice job Jim, and my apologies to Jim, for the mix up.
Another apology goes out to John N4MM (FM09) with 52 band-states on 2 bands, John now goes to third place.
As it was stated at the outset of this year’s program, the rover class would be receiving a 1st place plaque.
The plaque recipient for the Rover class this year is K9PW/R, Pete, with 94 band-states on 13 bands as a rover.
Great job Pete.

Thank you all for your participation.
Once again, participation is low, and we did not receive too many entries this period. We would like to remind all folks working the bands above 50 MHz to submit for the States Above 50 MHz event. When you work a contact in the upcoming season, just keep track and get ready to send them in next summer. If this program is to continue, we need your entries! Let’s see if we can bring back the participation level of a few years back… It’s your program!
See the Central States website for rules, entry forms and information. The top two Single Op entries and the top Rover entry will receive a plaque in the mail soon. Note that all participants will receive a certificate for this year’s effort!

Remember "States Above" is not only an awards program, but it's is a great way to track your activity on the bands above 50 MHz throughout the year! Simply work any station on any band above 50 MHz and keep track of what state the contact was in. Start logging your entries early.
Stay tuned for an update, as we have had a member that has volunteered to taking over the program, as I will be stepping down. Hopefully, I will be getting back to being more active in ham radio operating.
Thank you all for your support and see you on the bands.
73,
Vince Pavkovich
